I was able to share the RPC with a parent at conferences. When I explained what it is and how to use it, she was so excited. Her son really drops the ball on long-term projects. He's very tech-oriented, so the thought of him getting email reminders really got her excited.
I know that we still have a technology divide - the kids who have & those who have not. But I think we can implement technology tools effectively while considering how to meet the needs of the have-nots. Comparing it to the students with strong parental support or a positive attitude toward learning - there will always be haves & have nots.
The RPC isn't going to be an effective tool for every student. But it's another way to help kids learn crucial time-management skills that elude so many of us!
In fact, I need to get going to work. . . I just sat down at my computer to check my Remember the Milk before work today. Happy Monday, everyone!
